You Can Lose Your License For Five Or 10 Years
The HTV license suspension is in addition to any license suspension you may have received from a criminal conviction. HTV suspensions can be five or 10 years:
Five-year suspension
Within 10 years, convictions for nine minor traffic offenses and one major traffic offense, which is usually criminal and may include:
- Reckless driving
- OVWI/OWI
- Driving while license suspended
- Leaving the scene of an accident
Ten-year suspension
Three criminal/major traffic offense convictions within 10 years.
